Nice to meet you!!!

7 05 2007

Bonjour,

My name is Frederic DIAS; I come from Lyon the second biggest city of France. I use to be called Frederic LOBO DIAS, which comes from the Portugues… with a special meaning.

I study Industrial Design in my country, and back there I want to improve it and learn the artistically part of my job. One day, I wish to invent something that can help or be appreciated by everyone, but specially that every one can refer to me.Since my very young age, I have been impressed by Leonardo (di ser piero) Da Vinci. He was an amazing inventor, talented in several subjects from painting to astronomy. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonardo_da_Vinci) Every thing he did was not for him self or for glory, only to help his next.

My artistic side is very interested in Photography (which was by the way conceived by our dear Da Vinci), while my crazy mind had eyes just for Down Hill Mountain Bike and BMX.I am also mad about party, especially after the several first drinksss. I do believe that I would become alcoholic if I stay longer in New Zealand… Ready to have fun means also ready for an HUGE hangover, I have been learning that fact by my mistakes.

To conclude, I have to say that today is a terrible day for France!!! This 6th May, we had elected our new President. I expected Mrs. Segolene ROYAL but Nicolas SARKOZY had won the election… The world has to be prepared to see Napoleon coming back!!!

Fred…

Hello everybody!

You might have seen me in the class and I wont reveal my name in this text therefor letting you guessing.

Im a youngminded and hopeless student who likes to travel around the world and do different things to never get stuck in the same pattern.

The picture above show’s from wich town im from so I’ll still let you guessing.

Since I came to NZ there’s been alot of great moments with people and nature so my thought’s of this country is pretty high.

Altough im a bit dissapointed at the EF doing missleading info, such as how you will live etc.

When I arrived here I payed money for transportation by ef to my homestay, but had to wait at the airport for 40 minutes and then they set me up in a taxi instead!

But in all it’s good and im pleased.

I will be leaving on the 26th of May, by then Ive been here for 3 1/2 month and will go to Australia (sydney) by the time of 26May-03June so if anyones intressted in going there, leave me a message in person or at my mail alex_berg@bredband.net

By the time I’ll be back in Sweden the summer starts and I have alot of plans to put in motion (Mainly concerning alcohol :O)

The next few years I’ll hopefully work and will be travelling, (WANT TO GO TO JAPAN!: also south island of NZ and Perth/Brisbane(Queensland).

But a thought is also visiting Greenland and be a hunter for some time!

Maybe I’ll edit this profile later, till then, Take care dirtbags!

Well, then I’ll go back to Auckland(Biang!Biang!Biang!Pls wait for “The Return of Meichen”).I wish I could see everyone in my class but I understand that’s impossible, some of you will leave soon.

If someone wants to visit my country:China.Welcome! You can ask me first because I could introduce you some delicious snack in my country(If you want to keep a slim shape, don’t need to ask me,or you’ll become as fat as me when you go back to your country).

Manchester United wins Premiership

7 05 2007

There’s still a few rounds to go but after Chelsea lost against Arsenal there’s no chance for Chelsea to beat ManUtd this season.

Good thing the right team won!

Vanessa Weissig

2 05 2007

Hi, my name is Vanessa !

I’m staying in New Zealand for 4 weeks. I’ll also  go to Australia before I go back to Germany.

What I find most interesting in New Zealand are the people from the different countries you meet here and New Zealand’s countryside.

Most important for me are my friends and my family.

Prejudice about French?!?

2 05 2007

I guess that you will trust me more than it would normally be if I say that I am French? About this topic and after my first sentence I have got the feeling that I am writing more for woman than for anybody.A lot of people believe that France is the country of Love, my opinion is yes… Maybe because according to New Zealand, we are less interested in Rugby or Crickets games than woman. Most of French men, I do not know about woman, have been brought up in the respect of woman. A French idiom say: “Look at the way that he treat his mother and you will see if you will be happy with him” (it is not the exact translation, but it still the same meaning), it means maybe that our mother have been conditioned us for being gentlemen. But for sure you can meet some TV sport addicted in France, like every where around the world. Who only like Sofa-Sport and beer during the week end, this just an old human being instinct that makes us thirsty of action and … some other men stuff. But if you want some more “knowledge” about French, even about France or anything, I will be glad to answer your question and improve my writing and SPELLING at the same time.

My name is Andreas Folz, but actually everyone calls me ‘Andy’. I’m from Germany, a small village near Mannheim, which is south of Frankfurt. This is my first time in a language school, so I am really excited to be here in Auckland.

My hobbies are going to the movies, working on the Internet and going to partys.

My Homestay-family is really great, I like them very much. On some days, they are dropping me off right behind EF School.

Well now, I hope you enjoy our homepage.
